There are two models, the 5000 and the 6060.  The 6060 was introduced to allow simpler use by hospital personnel, but will not remember custom settings that may be used in a home environment.  Every time the 6060 controller is powered down, it re-sets to default settings for pressure and time of inflation.  We recommend the 5000 for most home applications as it uses analogue controls which will not change and has a convenient handle for carrying it from room to room.

We do require a signed doctors order to send a foot pump to a home patient.

ImPads

If possible, take your ImPads, the foot wraps, home with you from the hospital, they are expensive.  They sell for $150.00 for the pair.

The Model 5000

Kendall 5000 A-V Impulse System

The 5000 model is almost identical to the 6060 model below.  It is a better home choice for the reasons outlined above, primarily being the analogue controls that remember settings and the carry handle.

The 6060

Kendall 6060 A-V Impulse System

The system's clinically proven operating parameters include:

• 0.4 second rapid inflation to simulate the weight bearing process;
• 1 or 3 second impulse hold times to accommodate all injury types;
• 20 second deflation between impulses for complete refilling of the plexus;
• 125 mm Hg optimal impulse pressure to balance effectiveness and patient comfort, with a range of 50 to 200 mm Hg pressure available to accommodate individual patient requirements.

The design of the A-V Impulse System incorporates features not found on other physical rehabilitation systems. These include:

• an anatomically shaped bladder to ensure the plantar plexus is completely covered during each impulse;
• a rigid sole incorporated in the foot cover option to contain and direct the impulse.
