How much do rentals cost?
Please visit our Rent page for current pricing by device. One advantage of working with the medcom group is that CPM and SCD rental pricing is all-inclusive*: ground shipping, soft goods, and setup materials are included. Expedited shipping is available for an additional fee. Don’t see what you need? Call 1-877-301-4276.
*All-inclusive applies to CPM and SCD rentals; exclusions may apply for optional accessories or expedited services.
Do I have to pay for shipping?
UPS Ground shipping is included for rentals. Most locations receive equipment in 1–4 business days, depending on distance from Colorado. If you need it sooner, we offer expedited options for a fee that varies by device size, destination, and speed. For estimates, call 1-877-301-4276.
What additional fees might I be charged?
-
Included for CPM/SCD rentals: ground shipping, soft goods, setup materials/videos.
-
Possible additional costs: sales or use tax where required, expedited shipping, rental extensions, and a $20 fee for returned checks.
-
Lymphedema and foot pumps: sleeves must be purchased for the affected limb(s).
Questions? Call 1-877-301-4276.
What if I stop using the equipment early?
You may return the device early. Full refunds are not typical. Each unit is safety-checked, sanitized, and carefully packed before shipment, and we cannot rent it to another patient while it is in transit. That said, we may offer a partial refund in documented, unforeseen situations such as surgery cancellation or a change in your doctor’s orders. Please call 1-877-301-4276 to discuss your situation.
When does billing start?
In most cases, your rental begins when the equipment arrives. With advance notice, we can schedule delivery 1–2 days before surgery and start billing after your procedure. If you have a special circumstance, call 1-877-301-4276 and we’ll work with you.
Why do you ask for a credit card?
We use a credit card to process payment and to place a security hold that helps ensure timely return of the equipment and payment of any remaining balance (for example, if insurance leaves a portion unpaid). If you have concerns, your card issuer can explain purchase protections. You can also call us at 1-877-301-4276.

Will Medicare pay for my equipment rental?
Medicare may cover a knee CPM for total knee replacement if:
-
it is your first replacement on that knee (not a revision/MUA), and
-
CPM starts within 48 hours of surgery, and
-
use is within the covered period (often up to 21 days from first use).
Coverage rules can vary and change over time. Other devices (for example, pneumatic compression) may be covered with specific documentation. For help verifying coverage and documentation, call 1-877-301-4276. Authorization and eligibility determinations are made by Medicare and are not guaranteed by pre-approval.
Unfortunately, Medicare will not pay for other CPM's or even a Knee CPM for surgeries other than the Total Knee Replacement. Other machines, such as Pneumatic Compression Devices, we have limited success getting Medicare to cover them. There are many rules and documentation regulations to be fulfilled for coverage to happen, but, if you would like us to try, we certainly will. We recommend you call one of our Patient Care Representatives if you have any other questions at 1-877-301-4276.
Will my health insurance cover the costs?
It depends on your plan and procedure. We work with many insurers and can submit documentation to request preauthorization if you want us to bill your insurance. Please note: website prices reflect prepaid rates. If we bill insurance, the billed amount is typically higher due to processing and administrative requirements. If your insurer later denies or only partially pays the claim (including deductibles or copays), you are responsible for the remaining balance.
To avoid surprises, many patients choose the prepaid internet pricing and then submit to their insurer for reimbursement. We can provide the paperwork you need. Questions? Call 1-877-301-4276.
